In this book Umi takes the words of the old Zen Masters and translates them with such clarity. How he does this I do not know, but suddenly all these stories seem so simple. I would laugh at myself for resisting to practice the simple things he always invites us to do, seeing what has come when I finally did the practice. I would experience the openness that results when the mind is not figuring out or the ego is not engaged in believing it knows. So much Presence came through in these pages. I hope you can share in the Buddhafield as you read these pages. Reading God is a Dancer, often I feel joy and laughter. Here is someone who sees through the ego creations, who understands the twists and turns of our 21st Century life, and whose gentle presence and humor undo the mind tendency to get stuck in seriousness.
